Dakota - Siberian Husky
Gender: male
Age: 5 years old
Color: white with beige streak down his back
Eye Color: blue
Cats: No
Dogs: Okay with older dogs, not good with puppies or small dogs
Kids: good with older kids
Reason for rehoming: Dakota's owners are older and are planning to move within the year. Dakota was their daughter's dog but she moved and left Dakota with them. Dakota is neutered and up to date on his vaccines. He has mild epilepsy that is controlled with medication. He does have a sensitive stomach, his owners think he is allergic to chicken. Otherwise he is a healthy boy.
His owner says "Dakota loves attention and being outside. He will chase and try to catch birds and squirrels. He is usually in the back yard, he has not been on a leash very often. He can be very energetic. Loves the dog he has grown up with, but does not seem too fond of puppies or smaller dogs. He is very vocal and lets us know when he wants something - at times I feel like he is really talking to me."
Dakota is not crate trained and is used to having his owners at home with him. He can sit and shake hands and lie down. Dakota is well behaved while being brushed. He is good in the car, but his owner says he likes to "yodel" while going on car rides.
If you would like more information on Dakota, please email us. If you are interested in adopting Dakota, please read our Adoption Process page and fill out an application. Dakota is living with his current owner and is not one of our foster dogs.

Sky - Alaskan Malamute
Age: 6 years old
Color: black and white
Eye Color: brown
Cats: unknown
Dogs: has liked all dogs she has met
Kids: good with her owner's nieces and nephews
Reason for rehoming: Sky's owner is working very long hours and does not have time to take care of her. She is spending a lot of time alone, and he knows she deserves to live with people who are able to spend time with her and give her the exercise and attention she needs. Her owner says she is active and likes playing fetch, but could use some leash training. Sky is well
behaved when being brushed, bathed and having her nails clipped. She is house trained, crate trained, spayed, up to date on shots, and on heartworm preventatives. Sky is a bit chubby because she hasn't been getting much exercise, so she will need to start an exercise program and her new owner will need to watch her diet. Sky is living with her surrendering owner in Dingman's Ferry, PA, and is not one of our foster dogs. If you would like more information about Sky, please email us. If you are interested in Sky please read our Adoption Process page and fill out an application.
